What are common connection cables of touch screens?

In the installation and use of PCAP touch screens, the selection of connecting wires is often overlooked, but it directly affects the stability and service life of the device. So, do you know what are the common touch screen connection cables? As an expert in touch screen manufacturing, Shenzhen Xinlilai Touch Technology Co., Ltd. will analyze the characteristics of three common connection cables: USB cable, terminal cable, and DuPont cable, as well as how to choose the correct connection cable.
USB cable is currently the most widely used touch screen connection solution. Its biggest advantage lies in its plug and play convenience, which allows for easy connection without the need for any additional tools. Our standard USB cable adopts a double-layer shielding design, which can effectively prevent signal interference and is particularly suitable for USB Capacitive touch screens in office environments. However, it should be noted that the transmission distance of a regular USB cable generally does not exceed 5 meters. If longer distance transmission is required, it is recommended to use an industrial grade USB cable with a signal amplifier.
In contrast, terminal wire connections for PCAP touch screens are more stable and reliable. This connection method is fixed by screws, which can effectively prevent accidental detachment and is very suitable for industrial equipment or vibration environments. The terminal wires we provide use gold-plated contacts, which can maintain good conductivity even in humid environments. The waterproof terminal wire recently customized for a food factory has been running stably for more than two years in high temperature and high humidity environments, and has received high praise from customers.
DuPont line, as an economical connection solution of PCAP touch screens, is particularly popular during the research and development debugging phase. Its advantage is that it can be flexibly combined, making it convenient for engineers to quickly test different configurations. Our DuPont line is made of high elasticity silicone material, which can withstand tens of thousands of insertions and removals, greatly reducing the cost of consumables during the research and development stage. However, it should be noted that DuPont wire is not suitable as a fixed connection solution for the final product because its anti-interference ability is relatively weak.
