What is Touch screen production process?
May 26, 2025
The birth of a PCAP touch screen is far more complex than imagined. As a factory with full chain production capacity, we deeply understand that the details of each link determine the final quality. This article will take you into the world of PCAP touch screen manufacturing from the perspective of semi-finished product processing.
1. Starting point of semi-finished products: preparation of core materials
The core structure of a PCAP touch screen includes a cover glass, sensor film layer, and optical adhesive. The production of semi-finished products begins with precision machining of these materials:
The cover glass achieves functions such as scratch resistance and fingerprint resistance through processes such as CNC cutting, tempering, and coating;
The sensor film layer is etched to form nanoscale circuits, ensuring touch precision.
2. Key process: bonding and debugging
The core difference between semi-finished and finished products lies in their level of integration. For example, in the case of "unfinished products that have not been bonded", customers may need to combine the touch module with their own display screen. Our process focuses on:
Vacuum bonding technology: avoids bubbles and dust, improves light transmittance;
Impedance matching debugging: Ensure compatibility between touch signals and display chips, reducing latency.
3. Quality control: Invisible details
Even for semi-finished products, we will still conduct strict testing:
Circuit continuity test (to avoid disconnection or short circuit);
Surface hardness sampling (Mohs hardness ≥ 6);
Environmental simulation testing (high temperature and humidity, cold and hot shock).
Through this "semi-finished product pre quality inspection" mode, customers can significantly reduce the defect rate in subsequent processing.
